🎥✨ For the first time, I was in front of a camera... but I had a good reason — to continue accompanying the labor of love that is a book. Enjoy! More is coming soon. Huge thanks to the magical Balans Lab for bringing this to life!

Guest Tutor for the MA in Education in Arts @ Willem de Kooning Academy
Excited to be working with the final-year students of the MA in Education in Arts at WdKA Willem de Kooning Academy this spring. What does research mean in the context of education and art? Where do these fields overlap, and where do tensions arise? How do we navigate these spaces in real-life situations? And what values and ideas inspire us when we move across them? These are some of the questions we’ll explore together.
Save the date! Join us for the final presentation, July 5, 2025, at Melly
Configurations of Time at Jan Van Eyck Academy (9-10 April 2025), "Urgency Intensive”
“With its fifth Urgency Intensive, the Jan van Eyck Academie explores the civic role and agency of artistic, curatorial, and institutional practices amid growing societal divides, diminishing arts funding, and escalating socio-environmental crises. As outdated systems collapse and new ones remain undefined, cultural institutions and practitioners rethink their internal practices and external connections within a rapidly shifting world.”
April 10, 6pm: Drawing from her book Configurations of Time, curator Angela Serino explores how residency time shapes artistic and lived experiences. Inspired by thinkers like Carlo Rovelli and María Puig de la Bellacasa, Serino introduces concepts like space-time, care-time, and soil-time, proposing a process-oriented, ethical approach to residencies. Connecting the book’s storytelling and firsthand insights with previous speakers’ presentations, Serino reflects on what residencies activate beyond the visible and quantifiable.
April 11, 4:30pm: The Time We Share: A Collective Tarot Exploration – workshop facilitated by Angela Serino
Can we share a common time? Curator Angela Serino invites participants to explore temporalities and shared time using a special Tarot deck created by artists from Europe and the Mediterranean. Developed within the RESHAPE project (2018–2021), this deck doesn’t predict the future but fosters reflection on the present.

Join me on 16 January, for the “Sandberg Rietveld After Life Sessions”! The afternoon will be dedicated to residencies, featuring presentations on residencies in the Netherlands (such as the Rijksakademie, Jan van Eyck, de Ateliers, Hotel Maria Kapel, Kunsthuis Syb, and DutchCulture, focusing on international opportunities). My Book is Out! Configurations of Time
I'm thrilled to announce the publication of my new book, Configurations of Time: Imagining Other Temporalities in the Art Residency! Published by Set Margins at the end of 2024, this work is the result of years of research and curatorial practice—a true labor of love.
The book explores how we process art—and life—inside residency time, drawing on speculative storytelling, analytical perspectives, and first-hand experiences. It examines how time is experienced in residencies through overlapping concepts of space time, care time, and soil time, offering fresh insights into the ethics of residencies in today's fast-paced world.
Whether you’ve participated in a residency, plan to take part in one, support artists’ processes, or are fascinated by theories of time and how artists engage with it, this book is for you.
Configurations of Time is available now through Set Margins’ website here.
Stay tuned for updates on upcoming events and conversations around the book—I’d love to see you there!
