Life After Rietveld and Sandberg: Residencies and International Opportunities

The Life After Rietveld and Sandberg series is a monthly lecture and conversation program organized by the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam. It supports students and recent graduates in their transition into professional artistic practice. 

On 16 January, I gave the presentation Residencies as Learning Opportunities as part of the session “Life After Rietveld and Sandberg: Residencies and International Opportunities”. The session began with presentations on residencies in the Netherlands, including the Rijksakademie, Jan van Eyck, de Ateliers, Hotel Maria Kapel and Kunsthuis Syb, as well as on international opportunities through DutchCulture. In my talk, I introduced some of the most recent topics in the residency field and gave a sneak preview of my book, Configurations of Time: Imagining Other Temporalities in the Artist Residency.
